Case Investigation
By the time an accused is made aware that they are the subject of a military
sexual assault investigation, the government has often been investigating
the case to the point where its collection of evidence is almost complete.
Sometimes the investigation can last for months before an accused is brought
in for questioning by law enforcement of the Command.
The earlier an experienced defense counsel gets involved in the investigation
the better. Our approach is to use our years of experience, both as defense
counsel and as former prosecutors who have led government investigations,
to collect evidence, interview witnesses, demand the production of information
and witnesses, and prepare for trial from the very first conversation
we have with our client. No other type of case is more likely to go to
a contested jury trial than a sexual assault allegation where the stakes
are so high, and where the outcome often comes down to the strength of
